SUMMARY
The Colquitt County Board of Commissioners is soliciting sealed bids for paving and drainage improvements on J D Herndon Road, approximately 1,750 feet east of SR 33. The project scope includes approximately 42 TN of 12.5mm superpave asphalt, 54 LF of 10’x6’ concrete triple box culvert (GDOT 2403/2404), 420 LF of thermoplastic traffic striping, maintenance of traffic, and erosion and sedimentation control. An alternative for a precast concrete bridge is included in lieu of the box culvert. A mandatory pre-bid conference is scheduled for February 8, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. Bids are due by February 22, 2024, and must be accompanied by a 5% bid bond. The successful contractor must complete all work within 90 consecutive calendar days of the notice to proceed, with liquidated damages set at $500 per day.
