SUMMARY

The Regional Municipality of Niagara invites bids for HVAC upgrades at the Fort Erie Childcare building, a single level ~3,500 sq ft facility built in 1975.

The scope of work includes replacing the existing Roof Top Unit (RTU) with a new 8-ton heat pump unit, supplying and installing by-pass boxes and electric duct heaters, duct modifications, and investigating and patching leaking supply air ducting. Due to the heavier weight of the new RTU, building roof reinforcement is required as noted in tender drawings. Additionally, the project requires type 2 asbestos abatement for numerous areas including 2x4 ceiling tiles, to be completed outside normal operating hours. The submission deadline is October 26, 2026. Eligibility is restricted to the Successful Roster Listing from Contract 2024-RFSQ-203 Category 2 Mechanical Contractors.
