SUMMARY

The Kansas Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for milling and hot mix asphalt (HMA) overlay on K-27 from south of the US-160 junction north to the Stevens/Hamilton County line in Stanton County, spanning a length of 12.110 miles under Project No. K027-094 KA 8055-01 and Federal Project No. ACSTP-A805(501). Work includes HMA overlay (SR-12.5A, PG 70-28), quality control testing, emulsified asphalt, milling, HMA patching, temporary pavement marking, asphalt air void and density pay adjustments, asphalt cores, milled asphalt centerline and shoulder rumble strips, and multi-component pavement markings. The letting date is September 16, 2026, with bids accepted online via Bid Express until 1:00 PM Local Time and read publicly at 3:00 PM Local Time. The contract requires completion within 85 working days, with 65 restricted days, and an earliest start date of March 29, 2027.
