SUMMARY

The City of Wheaton is seeking proposals from qualified traffic engineering firms to develop a traffic calming report and engineering plans aimed at reducing speeding and crashes at the intersection of Harrison Avenue and Washington Street. The selected firm will provide data analysis, a report containing traffic calming recommendations with preliminary engineering estimate of costs, and a final engineering design plan.

EVALUATION CRITERIA

The RFP responses will be evaluated by a City committee which will include the Fire Chief and other City Staff. The committee may conduct interviews with firms. The City reserves the right to request additional information from respondents in order to clarify the content of their proposal and to ensure a full and complete understanding of each proposal. The firm to be recommended for award will be the one whose proposal is determined to be the most advantageous to the City.
