SUMMARY
Develop an urban design and placemaking master plan for the Innovation Walk, Centennial Park, and adjacent areas inclusive of the entire riverfront between the Edison and Caloosahatchee Bridges to provide a comprehensive waterfront experience culminating at the Edison & Ford Winter Estates. The project incorporates augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) features, preserves historical and cultural elements including those of the Calusa people and the Uncommon Friends, creates flexible interactive spaces, and incorporates sustainable and resilient infrastructure to reduce heat island effects. Additional requirements include establishing Fort Myers as a hub for innovation and creativity, and incorporating nature, trees, and landscape as design elements in Fort Myers, Florida.
