SUMMARY

The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission (WSSC) is soliciting sealed responses for the Anacostia II Wastewater Pumping Station Surge Tanks Removal project. The scope of work generally consists of the demolition and in-place abandonment of eight (8) existing surge tanks. Specific tasks include the removal of four (4) trees, demolition and disposal of associated pavement, sidewalk, curb and gutter, equipment, and appurtenances, as well as protection of adjacent features and utilities, erosion and sediment control, and site restoration. The surge tanks contain lead-based paint, requiring demolition to be performed in accordance with environmental requirements to minimize airborne dust and waste.
