SUMMARY
The Sanford Airport Authority is soliciting bids for the construction of an 856-space remote parking lot located southwest of the intersection of Marquette Ave and Sipes Ave. The project scope includes site clearing and grubbing, topographic surveying, bulk earth moving, fill import, site grading, underground utility and drainage infrastructure installations, and parking lot pavement construction. Additional work entails stormwater conveyance and dry retention facilities, parking lot and road striping, signage installations, access control, security cameras, site lighting, minor roadway modifications to Marquette Ave, pedestrian access accommodations, landscaping, and irrigation. The project also features the installation of a pre-engineered/precast/prefabricated bathroom facility with a covered waiting area, and a pre-engineered revenue control canopy with control stations and gate control. The project will be bid as a base bid (375 spaces) with two bid alternates (Alternative A for 236 spaces, Alternative B for 245 spaces).
