SUMMARY
Greenville County is soliciting proposals from qualified Timber Management Consultants for professional forestry services across approximately 1,765 acres of County-owned property associated with solid waste facilities. The scope of work includes the implementation of an existing timber management plan, facilitation of timber sales, reforestation, and ongoing stewardship. Selected consultants must coordinate forestry activities with landfill cell development schedules, maintenance of vegetative buffers established via the Facility Issues Negotiation Network (FINN) process, protection of stormwater and MS4 features, and preservation of landfill monitoring wells. The forester will work with Solid Waste staff to balance revenue generation with long-term operational needs. Proposals are due June 2, 2026, at the Greenville County submission location.
