SUMMARY

Effingham County is soliciting bids for Phase I of the Atlas Park Remediation Project (25-ITB-091).

The project focuses on the removal of approximately 1,126 cubic yards of impacted sediment containing elevated concentrations of arsenic, barium, and lead from two defined zones totaling 0.70 acres within an on-site pond. The Contractor is responsible for selecting dredging techniques (such as suction dredging or pump and hose methods), installing environmental controls including a skirted containment boom anchored to the shoreline, and placing spoils in an on-site sediment placement area for dewatering. The County will handle final transport to a Subtitle D landfill. Bidders must account for wetland permit restrictions and pending Erosion Control Plans under review by GSWCC.
