SUMMARY
The City of Edgewater is soliciting professional services for the design of a 4.5-mile segment of the St. Johns River-to-Sea Loop Trail, part of the Shared Use Non-Motorized (SUN) Trail program. The project scope includes engineering design for trail widths of eight, ten, and twelve feet, topographic and boundary surveys, geotechnical investigations, environmental assessments, and utility coordination. The trail route extends from Roberts Road to Dale Street, involving crossings of an active FEC railroad and State Highway SR-442, plus a portion along Volusia County right-of-way on West Park Avenue. Design must adhere to current ADA standards and Florida Design Manual criteria. The estimated construction cost is $4,743,697.47, with FDOT funding scheduled for Fiscal Year 2022-2023.
