During the May 11, 2026 board meeting, Chartwells Director of Dining Caryn Dempsey reported that Malvern School District received a $9,200 Share Our Strength grant to support its Seamless Summer feeding program. She also provided an update on the number of meals served in the first year of the district’s Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program. This indicates active grant-funded expansion and optimization of summer and CEP meal services, with Chartwells currently operating food services for the district. While the immediate grant award is decided, the district may need support with grant compliance, reporting, outreach to increase participation, equipment, software, or program enhancements tied to this funding and to ongoing CEP operations. Vendors in nutrition services, meal-tracking technology, outreach/communications, and related consulting can position solutions around improving efficiency and impact of summer and CEP feeding programs under existing and future grants.
