Whitby Plant to Sole Source AWI Filter Underdrain System

Durham Region is proposing to sole source Anthratech Western Inc. for an engineered stainless steel filter underdrain system at the Whitby Water Supply Plant, replacing 50-year-old clay underdrains. The AWI Phoenix system will standardize filtration equipment with Oshawa and Newcastle plants and improve reliability.
