Sports Commission to promote Springfield sports events

The City of Springfield has engaged the Greater Springfield Area Sports Commission, Inc. to promote sports and sporting events in the area. The contractor will receive an annual sum equal to 4.5% of the proceeds from the city's hotel and motel gross receipts tax for the period of July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026.
