VDOT–West Virginia tunnel rehabilitation cost-sharing agreement

VDOT plans to enter into project agreements with the West Virginia Department of Transportation Division of Highways to rehabilitate and upgrade the East River Mountain Tunnel, with each state sharing costs based on tunnel length. The Commonwealth Transportation Board will approve a template agreement and delegate authority to the Commissioner to execute project-specific contracts under the Special Structures Program.
