VDEM to Provide Free Tide Gauge Support

After ending its USGS contract, Accomack County has partnered with VDEM to provide and maintain tide gauges at Saxis, Chincoteague, and South Branch Onancock Creek at no cost to the County. The new arrangement maintains continuous tide data while eliminating over $12,000 in annual maintenance expenses.
