Lethbridge’s Community Issues Committee has recommended advising Emergency Health Services – Alberta that the City will not pre-commit to additional costs or extend the current EMS Ground Ambulance Agreement beyond September 30, 2026, while retaining the option to join further negotiations or a request for proposals. Final Council direction is required by May 31, 2026 to shape future ambulance service delivery and funding.
