The Omemee and District Lions Club executed a purchase agreement with the Trillium Lakelands District School Board in September 2024 to acquire the former Omemee Train Station building for $1.00. The contract permits the Lions to restore and eventually relocate the heritage structure while it temporarily remains on the former Lady Eaton School yard.
