THE 30-SECOND BRIEF
The Goochland County School Board invites bids for the Motor Controls Center (MCC) Replacement Project at Goochland High School Complex located at 3250 River Road West, Goochland, VA 23063. The project scope includes the removal of existing MCC-1 and MCC-E, conduit, and wiring, and the installation of two power panelboards, new conduit, wiring, and combination motor starters. Control circuits will be extended to the existing BAS system. Equipment shutdown will occur over the 2026-2027 winter break (December 18, 2026, to January 3, 2027), requiring coordination with a concurrent chiller replacement project. Substantial completion is required by January 3, 2027, with final completion by February 1, 2027. A non-mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit is scheduled for June 11, 2026, at 4:00 PM at Goochland High School. Questions are due by June 15, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Bids are due by June 30, 2026, at 2:00 PM. Bidders must have a business office within a 100-mile radius of Goochland Courthouse, VA, and hold appropriate licenses and bid security of 5% if the total price exceeds $50,000.
