SUMMARY

The County of San Diego is seeking proposals for a self-contained mobile command vehicle (RFP 13329) for the Sheriff's Office. The required vehicle is a 2026 or newer Ford Super Duty F-550 DRW XL 2WD REG Cab with a 205" wheelbase, featuring a 7.3L V8 gas engine and a custom 18-foot aluminum command shelter. The shelter must include soundproof rooms for crisis negotiations, multiple workstations with 27-inch monitors, a 55-inch exterior briefing television, HVAC, a gas generator, and integrated communication systems including Cradlepoint and Starlink. The contract term is one base year with three one-year options. A mandatory performance bond for 100% of the contract price is required within 10 days of award.
