SUMMARY
The City of Smyrna is requesting Sealed Bids for a unit-price contract for the installation of approximately 3,080 linear feet of new 12-inch ductile iron water main and 6,060 linear feet of new 8-inch ductile iron water main. The project scope includes seven bore crossings along side streets, reconnection of existing 6-inch and 8-inch water mains, service lines, and fire hydrants to the new waterlines. Additionally, existing 6-inch and 10-inch cast iron water mains under driving lanes will be abandoned in place. The project is located along South Cobb Drive from Benson Poole Road to Concord in Cobb County, Georgia. The contract time for Substantial Completion is 180 calendar-days. Bids are due by August 26, 2020.
