Medical Lake School District’s Community Facilities Task Force is actively prioritizing a package of capital facility projects following months of campus tours, data analysis, and community engagement. The June 17, 2026 meeting focused on weighing potential projects for a multi-purpose space and other improvements against need, financial feasibility, and stakeholder support, with an eye toward a focused, fiscally responsible package. With the current capital levy expiring after 2027 and existing bond debt rolling off after 2028, the district is analyzing replacement bond or levy options that could fund priority improvements without increasing the current tax rate.The task force is scheduled to deliver long-range facility recommendations this summer, which will shape specific construction, renovation, and possibly new space projects that will later require design, engineering, and construction services. Vendors who can help refine scope, cost estimates, and communication around potential bond-funded projects have an opening while recommendations are still being formed.

Community members are being engaged through surveys and will have additional input opportunities as recommendations are finalized, indicating active public-facing planning for a future bond/levy measure.
