Roanoke County Public Schools Awards Technology Contract to Powerhouse Recycling (August 2025)

The Roanoke County School Board approved the surplus of about 9,000 retired technology devices using state contract vendor PowerHouse Recycling, which will perform DoD-standard data erasure and environmentally responsible disposal while returning residual value to the division. The proceeds are built into the FY26 technology replacement plan funding.
