Maryland Continues Certification Fee Support Through NBPTS

Maryland’s proposed regulatory amendments continue financial support for educators pursuing National Board certification through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. The State Board of Education would cover two-thirds of applicable certification fees, with local school systems covering the remaining one-third, subject to annual appropriations for retakes.
