Magdalena village Awards Facilities Contract to Socorro Electric Cooperative Inc (October 2023)

The Village of Magdalena approved an MOU and Release of Liability with Socorro Electric Cooperative, Inc. for SEC’s rebuild of the Magdalena–Socorro 69 kV line and Magdalena substation. The agreement allows SEC to use Village property as a laydown area in exchange for SEC providing and installing rodeo arena lighting at no cost, with each party responsible for its own liability and a 24‑hour termination clause.
