Hidalgo County, Weslaco enter HUD cooperation pact

Federal Fiscal Years 2027, 2028, and 2029, and until funds are expended and activities completed; automatically renews for successive three-year Urban County qualification periods

Initial term covers Federal Fiscal Years 2027–2029 and continues until all program funds and program income are expended and activities are completed and closed out by HUD. The agreement then renews automatically for successive three-year Urban County qualification periods unless either party provides written notice of non-renewal to the other prior to a new qualification period. Neither party may terminate, withdraw, or be removed during an active three-year program period, except if HUD rejects or refuses to accept the agreement, in which case the County may terminate with written notice.
