The City of Chula Vista approved an amendment to its CalPERS contract with the Board of Administration to require classic Local 2180 International Association of Fire Fighters safety members to contribute an additional one percent of salary effective January 12, 2024. Resolution 2023-183 and a companion ordinance on first reading formalize the pension cost-sharing change.
