Eaton County authorized applying for an MMRMA Risk Avoidance Program grant to obtain $50,000 toward purchase of a Tek 84 full-body X-ray scanner for the county jail. The scanner would improve contraband detection and inmate and staff safety during intake and facility entry. The Controller/Administrator is empowered to process related budget amendments if the grant is awarded.
