Samsung plans to develop battery energy project

Samsung C&T Corporation ("Samsung") is planning to develop a stand-alone battery energy storage project in Halifax County, on an approximately 30-acre site located near Alton, VA. The project is targeted to have an energy capacity of 200 Megawatts or 800 Megawatt-hours, and would connect to the grid through the Dominion Virginia owned Sledge Hill - Person 230kV transmission line that bisects the participating property.
