THE 30-SECOND BRIEF
The Commission on Water Resource Management is requested to authorize its Chairperson to enter into a multi-year Joint Funding Agreement with the U.S. Geological Survey for statewide hydrologic data collection. The Commission’s share will not exceed $548,750 over the period from 2026 to 2029, complementing a $46,600 USGS contribution to install and operate six streamflow monitoring stations. The agreement will expand monitoring capacity beyond the existing cooperative program to support sustainable surface water management.
