Districts delegate IHSA officials pay to CSL

Seven suburban Illinois high school districts approved an intergovernmental agreement with the Central Suburban League delegating authority to assign and compensate IHSA licensed officials for CSL-recognized athletic events. The CSL will establish uniform pay scales by sport and officiating experience starting July 1, 2026, under a five-year term with automatic renewals. Each district may elect to pay alternative reasonable compensation while relying on the CSL for centralized scheduling and officiating standards.
