The Bellingham School District has entered into a contract with the Washington State Health Care Authority (HCA) for the provision of Medicaid-covered health-related services to Title XIX eligible students with Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and Individualized Family Service Plans (IFSP). The contract establishes an Intergovernmental Transfer (IGT) framework for HCA to compensate the district, where the state will provide 40% and school districts 60% of the nonfederal matching funds.
