At its August 26, 2026 meeting the board said the Jennings Tract and L-Bar-L Cattle Co. Ltd. right-of-way acquisitions were still waiting on the district engineer to finalize metes and bounds descriptions. The underlying corridor work is not yet ready for acquisition closing, so the immediate need is surveying and legal description completion. This is a pre-procurement signal for right-of-way and mapping support.
At its August 26, 2026 meeting the district reported a revised route for the electric service line to the Flores Booster Station, using existing roads and fence lines where possible. The engineer said the extension is estimated at about $85,000 to $90,000 and asked AEP to submit a formal cost proposal and completion schedule. The Salomeneno Booster Station must stay operational until the new station is in service, so this is a live infrastructure need with vendor pricing still pending.
