SUMMARY
The Alameda County Water District is soliciting bids for the Alvarado-Niles Pipeline Seismic Improvement Project. The work consists of furnishing and installing approximately 1,900 linear feet of 14-inch diameter steel pipe and 7,950 linear feet of 16-inch diameter steel pipe, including 150 linear feet of 24-inch steel casing beneath railroad tracks. Additional scope includes installing service laterals, meter boxes, fire hydrants, air vacuum valves, cathodic protection systems, and a prefabricated steel bridge supported by concrete piers over a flood control channel. Contractors are also responsible for pressure testing, disinfection, removal of old pipelines, and restoration of surfaces including asphalt, concrete, and landscaping. Submissions are due by March 6, 2025, at 11:30 AM.
