County, Smithsburg Approve Building Permits MOU

The Board approved a Memorandum of Understanding with the Town of Smithsburg under which Washington County’s Permits & Inspections division will handle building permits, fee collection, and inspections inside town limits starting September 1, 2025. The County will receive 75% of permit revenue.
