Agreement has an initial 15-year term from April 3, 2025; either party may terminate any time after year 10 with 12 months’ written notice. If up to 8,000 acre-feet of SBVMWD return water has not been fully delivered by term end, the agreement automatically extends up to 5 additional years or until all such transfers are completed, whichever comes first.
