The St. Lawrence County Board of Legislators approved a Section 287(g) Memorandum of Agreement Jail Enforcement Model between the Sheriff’s Office and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement to train jail personnel in limited immigration enforcement functions, with a requirement to revisit the agreement after one year. The Sheriff is authorized to sign all implementation documents upon County Attorney review.
