Board Ends Legal Services Contract With Maupin Cox & LeGoy

Douglas County School District’s Board of Trustees voted on July 19, 2023 to terminate in full its long-standing legal services contract with the law firm Maupin, Cox, & LeGoy, which had represented the District for roughly 25 years. Trustees cited a loss of trust and desire for different legal direction despite extensive public and staff testimony supporting the firm’s education and special education expertise.
