ITC Midwest Electric Transmission Franchise Renewal

The Clear Lake city council will hold a public hearing on Monday, July 7, 2025, at 5:30 p.m. local time at City Hall located at 15 N 6th Street, Clear Lake, Iowa, on a proposal to enact an ordinance granting to ITC MIDWEST LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of ITC HOLDINGS CORP., the right and franchise to acquire, construct, reconstruct, erect, maintain, operate and remove in the City of Clear Lake, Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, a transmission system for electric power and the right to erect and maintain the necessary poles, lines, wires, conduits, telecommunications and other appliances, equipment and substations for the transmission of electric current along, under and upon the streets, avenues, alleys and public places in the City of Clear Lake, Cerro Gordo County, Iowa; granting the right to erect and maintain upon the streets, avenues, alleys and public places, transmission lines through the City of Clear Lake, Cerro Gordo County, Iowa, for the period of fifteen (15) years; and granting the right of eminent domain.
