Shield Engineering Lake Caldwell design ongoing

Updates have been made to the steady-state analysis model based on prior feedback. Key changes include adjusting material inputs, removing the impermeable boundary in favor of a concrete toe wall, refining the hydraulic conductivity values, and updating mesh transitions and layer permeability. The model now reflects more realistic conditions, including the spillway crest and downstream head elevations, and establishes a baseline for uplift pressures without drains. Further feedback is requested on modeling approaches, particularly regarding headwater elevations, vertical flow path realism, and handling drainage in the toe wall region. Additional work is planned on aggregate gradation for the sand filter layer.
