City, Clay-Union Electric agree to territory swap

The Vermillion City Council approved an MOU with Clay-Union Electric to swap portions of electric service territory, enabling the City to serve a new 34‑unit Madison Park housing project while consolidating Clay-Union’s service to an existing building in the Alber’s Subdivision. The agreement eliminates lost revenue payments and will be finalized with the Public Utilities Commission.
