Burlingame Elementary Awards Construction Contract to DEVELOPER (January 2026)

Burlingame School District entered into a facilities lease with a Developer under a lease-leaseback structure to design and construct the Franklin Elementary School Central Kitchen Project, then lease the completed facility back to the District. Lease payments will be based on a Guaranteed Maximum Price detailed in Exhibit C, with an initial lease term of about one year after project completion, subject to earlier termination events.

Renewal

Term ends one year after commencement of lease payments or upon payment of the final lease payment, and may be shortened by default, eminent domain, destruction, or exercise of district purchase option under Exhibit C. Extensions or modifications may be made via amendment per Section 28.
