Trident Development asked the City Council to consider a tax-revenue sharing agreement of up to $800,000 over 15 years to support soil remediation and site preparation for new commercial development near AL Hwy 157 and Franklin Smith Road. The proposal would cap the city’s obligation while allowing the city to capture all tax revenue above the threshold if reached early.
