The South Gate City Council and Housing Authority are considering approval of a nonbinding MOU with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles to guide negotiations for a future Disposition, Development and Loan Agreement and an Affordable Housing and Loan Agreement for an affordable ownership project at 9001-9019 Long Beach Boulevard. The MOU frames eventual conveyance of Housing Authority property, carryback financing, and a future City/Housing Authority loan, with a 45-year affordability period for 14 townhome units, but involves no immediate fiscal outlay.
