The Village of Scotia Board of Trustees approved a resolution to continue its longstanding solid waste collection agreement with the City of Schenectady, shifting the funding mechanism from property taxes to a fee-based structure beginning December 1, 2026. The Mayor and Board will develop the necessary fee structure, rules, and regulations for collection of the new solid waste fees.
