South Hadley joins Westfield regional emergency dispatch system

Description
South Hadley and its two fire districts entered into a multi-year intermunicipal agreement with the City of Westfield for regional emergency dispatch services at the Westfield Regional Public Safety Communications Center. The Town and districts will jointly pay $200,000 per year, with initial costs offset by State 911 transition grants, in exchange for Westfield handling 911 call-taking and dispatch for police, fire, and EMS.
