The Town of Melbourne Beach is considering approval of an interlocal agreement with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office for unified law enforcement and fire dispatch services beginning June 1, 2026. The Sheriff’s Office will provide PSAP call-taking, radio dispatch, FCIC/NCIC teletype support, and related IT services under a flat $25,000 annual fee for FY 26/27 through FY 28/29, with the current-year fee waived and future pricing to be renegotiated. The initial term runs through September 30, 2029, with automatic three-year renewals unless either party opts out.
