Hamden, Public Works Union Reach MOA on Sick Leave

The Town of Hamden and Public Works, Local 424‑Unit 1 of UPSEU have negotiated a Memorandum of Agreement that revises sick leave payout provisions, removes specified Laurel View Golf Course maintenance from bargaining unit work, and provides one extra personal day to unit members in 2026–2027. The agreement also commits the Mayor to propose three new public works positions in the FY 2027–2028 budget and is pending Legislative Council approval.
