Keys to Independence run by FLITE Center statewide

The Florida Department of Children and Families contracts with the FLITE Center to administer the Keys to Independence program, helping foster youth and young adults obtain driver’s licenses and car insurance. In FY 2024-25, the program enrolled 1,082 youth statewide, with 408 securing learner’s permits, 270 earning driver’s licenses, 421 receiving driving lessons, and 382 insurance policies paid.
