The City of Oviedo is considering an interlocal agreement with Seminole County to assign its full statutory share of the five-cent local option fuel tax—projected at about $388,227 per year—for up to ten years to help fund the $200 million Seminole Connector (S.R. 452) project. The Florida Department of Revenue would remit the City’s fuel tax proceeds directly to the County from January 1, 2027 through December 31, 2036, with funds restricted to the connector project.
