The City of Austin plans to acquire approximately 4.944 acres of former rail corridor land from St. Edward’s University for the Bergstrom Spur Urban Trail Network, for an amount not to exceed $4,421,000 including closing costs. An independent appraisal supports a purchase price of $4,388,000, with funding from the Transportation and Public Works Department’s capital budget.
